Meet Mekenzie…

I am a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist who is passionate about guiding clients through their personal food journey. I received my Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition and Dietetics at the University of Delaware and my Master’s degree in Nutritional Sciences at Boston University. I dedicated six years of education to understanding the science and research in nutrition. I believe in an evidence based approach to nutrition which is essential in helping my clients navigate today’s diet culture.

I have prior experience working as a Dietitian at Walden Behavioral Care. I worked in both inpatient and residential levels of care, where I learned about the complexities of eating disorders and found a true passion for helping clients begin their recovery journey. I also practiced in an outpatient group practice where I have been honored to help clients further along in their eating disorder recovery and eventually finding peace with food.

Working in the eating disorder field heightened my awareness of the extreme impact food can have on one’s life. One of my main goals is to lessen that impact and help my clients find peace with food. However, I acknowledge that it is not only about food. I believe in a holistic approach encompassing collaboration with all of my client’s treatment providers, body image work, sleep hygiene, movement, mindfulness and stress reduction strategies.

I find the most rewarding work to be in the freedom my clients discover when less of their life is spent stressing over a food choice, the restaurant menu, or an outfit they can leave the house in. I am excited to continue embarking on these journeys with all clients to discover what food freedom feels like for you.

In my free time, you will find me spending time with my son, husband, and dog, Boodah, eating at my favorite restaurants, relaxing at Cape Cod, or booking our next travel adventure. I strive to practice what I preach and live a life full of delicious foods, joyful movement, space for rest, and time with friends and family.
